Provisional licence
Apply on GOV.UK from age 15 years and 9 months — you can drive from your 17th birthday.

Coaching-based lessons
Structured 1-to-1 tuition using modern coaching and Client-Centred Learning.
- 03
Theory Test
50 multiple-choice questions and 14 hazard perception clips. Fee: £23 via GOV.UK.
- 04
Practical Test
Around 40 minutes of driving with a DVSA examiner. £62 weekdays, £75 weekends.
Meet your instructor
David Brough — 20 years of roads policing in the passenger seat.
Born and raised in Berwick-upon-Tweed, David spent 20 years as a Police Officer specialising in roads policing before qualifying as a DVSA driving instructor in 2017. He brings advanced driving qualifications and a deep understanding of how collisions really happen — and how to prevent them.
- Advanced Driver Class 1 & Advanced Motorcyclist
- Escorted the Olympic Torch during the 2012 London Olympics
- Working toward a Diploma in Coaching & Behaviour Change for Safe Driving
